Meet Beth Ann Townsend
Founder of Healing Traditions
Beth Townsend created Healing Traditions in the spirit of bridging the many teachings, traditions, and techniques she has encountered over a journey of more than 40 years. Today, her work is rooted in the teachings of Dr. Rosita Arvigo through the Abdominal Therapy Collective and the Wisdom of Water, Plants and Prayers which is supported by her lifelong learning across cultures and practices.
Beth is an Instructor for The Abdominal Therapy Collective, Inc. In 2016, Beth became the fifth person formally trained as an advanced instructor. In addition to supporting her own clients, Beth now also teaches fellow practitioners who want to share these special, time-honored techniques with their clients.
Meet Amy Townsend
Licensed Massage Therapist & Veterinary Physical Rehabilitation Specialist
Amy Townsend's love for serving all living beings manifests in both massage therapy and a lifelong love for dogs. A licensed massage therapist with additional training in medical massage, manual therapy, abdominal therapy, holistic nutrition, personal training, chronic pain and repetitive strain treatment and management, Amy also specializes in veterinary physical rehabilitation.
She attended Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts, The Arvigo Insititue, The Canine Rehabilitation Institute, and Baker College. Having been personally impacted by manual therapy and abdominal therapy, Amy is passionate about sharing these skills with people on their journey to health. She approaches health through an educational starting point, believing that understanding how your body works and what it is doing can help clients to transform their story. She prides herself on being able to explain, in simple terms, the science behind the symptoms of musculoskeletal and abdominal/organ disorder, and helping people to understand them from a whole-body perspective.
Why Integrated Therapies?
They can help with
It was an amazing class. Beth is a beautiful human and a very engaging teacher. I feel super competent in my application of all she presented. We had lots of hands on practice. The group of women were exquisitely ready to give and receive with so much fullness and expansion.
